BIPOLAR DISORDER
Bipolar disorder, formerly known as manic-depressive disorder, is a chronic mental health condition marked by alternating periods of elevated mood and depression. These episodes can last from days to weeks, and sometimes even months. Severe mood elevation accompanied by psychosis is referred to as mania, while less intense episodes are known as hypomania.
