PANIC DISORDER

Panic disorder is a type of anxiety disorder characterized by an overreaction of the body’s normal survival instincts. Panic attacks can occur suddenly and without warning, causing intense symptoms such as a racing heart, difficulty breathing, sudden feelings of fear, or excessive sweating. Panic disorder can cause significant disruption in daily functioning. Although the exact cause is not fully understood, health experts believe that environmental, psychological, and biological factors may all play a role.
